Our scientists are organized by product category. This means that you benefit from the knowledge of experts who will be able to propose the most appropriate in-house designed technology for your project. These technologies cover encapsulation, malodor counteraction, fragrance bloom and mood enhancement. We also develop proprietary fragrance ingredients that will help differentiate your brands. A fundamental understanding of fragrance performance

With your consumers in mind, and based on mid to long-term market trends, our R&D Scientists focus on upstream research to develop new technologies, mechanisms, formulations and proprietary ingredients. For you, this means early access to innovative ideas that can immediately be considered for your projects whether it relates to fragrance intensity, performance, bloom or malodor counteraction. R&D also develops captive ingredients, our latest being Olivante®, which allows your brands to stand out from your competitors.

Applied research and the Sensolab

Our Applied Research team, Innovation to Market (ITM) focuses on how to integrate and implement R&D-developed technologies. These scientists understand how your product works, how it is formulated, and how its fragrance performance and sustainability characteristics can be enhanced with our technologies, ingredients and capabilities.

Sensolab is the platform name covering ITM’s Innovation through formulation science. It proposes ways to make your product even more enjoyable for consumers. They approach your product from a multisensorial angle, considering how it looks, how it feels on skin or how it reacts in contact with other elements, such as water. They might, for instance, propose a waterless formula, less packaging or a higher concentration to be less wasteful and more environmentally friendly.
