Are you ready for the Barcelona Olfaction Week (BOW) 2021?

Barceloan Olfaction Week cover, with a woman smelling lavender plants

This 29th May will see the launch of a new edition of Barcelona Olfaction Week (BOW), one of the most important international events in the perfume industry. For a whole week, Barcelona will become the epicentre of olfactory culture, in an event that will combine activities of all kinds, demonstrating that the world of perfume is also art, culture and science.

Eurofragance is a gold sponsor of BOW 2021, which will be a hybrid event made up of the Olfaction Congress, webinars and workshops, in an online format, and the “Mouillette d’Argent” International Perfumery Contest, which this year celebrates its fourth edition with a gala that will be attended only by the award recipients.

Eurofragance will be represented at BOW 2021 by the following: our Key Account Manager, Bettina Perisson, our Global Technical Compliance Manager, Diana March, our senior perfumer, Angéline Poubeau and the perfumers Céline Guivarc’h and Julia Rodríguez.

This is the agenda. It’s not-to-be-missed:

Perfumery webinars and workshops

  • ‘Perfumería con cosas que tenemos en casa’
  • Bettina Perisson, Key Account Manager
  • 29 May, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm CET
  • Bettina Perisson will teach us the best tricks to fragrance our home with perfumes created using food items and objects which we already have at home.

  • Round table on sustainability and CSR
  • Diana March, Global Technical Compliance Manager
  • 31 May, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm CET
  • Diana March will participate in a round table, organized by the Barcelona Beauty Cluster and Nez magazine, together with different experts, to discuss how companies can become aware of the impact they have on society, the economy and the environment.

    Barcelona Olfaction Congress

  • Feel-good fragrances
  • Angéline Poubeau, Senior Perfumer
  • 1 June, from 10:10 am to 10:35 am CET
  • Angéline Poubeau will talk about feel-good fragrances, a trend that is currently booming as a result of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on consumers, who are looking for ways to manage their emotional well-being, escape stress and find calm.

Angéline will also present her latest creations, which feature the use of natural and synthetic ingredients to achieve three specific emotional benefits: relaxation and sleep improvement, feeling energized and escaping reality.

    “Mouillette d’Argent” International Perfumery Contest

  • Perfumers Céline Guivarc’h and Julia Rodríguez
  • 5 June, from 19:00 pm to 21:00 pm CET
  • For the fourth consecutive year, the Beauty Cluster Barcelona, Teià Town Council and Ainea Perfums have organized the event “Maridatge dels sentits”, the International Perfumery Contest which grants the “Mouillette d’Argent” awards. This 2021 edition has featured 112 perfumers from 25 countries and our perfumer Céline Guivarc’h is one of the finalists. Céline, who participates on an individual basis, has created a perfume using the olfactory note set by the organizers: violet. The awards ceremony will take place at Ca L’Antiga, in an exclusive gala attended by the finalists and the jury, which other attendees will be able to follow on a live stream.

The jury, chaired by the master perfumer Mr Rosendo Mateu, is made up of experts from the world of perfumery, art and gastronomy as well as by the winners of the 2020 edition, including our perfumer Julia Rodríguez, who won the “Mouillette d’Argent” award for best perfume.
