Perfumery ingredients, also known as raw materials, are the building blocks of all fragrances. On average, there are about 40 ingredients that enter into a typical fragrance formula, but some compositions can count up to one hundred. The Eurofragance palette, or collection of ingredients, is made up of synthetic and natural raw materials that we source from around the world. For historical reasons, however, we are particularly strong in ingredients favored in Middle Eastern perfumery. Many of these come from the Indian subcontinent. In addition to sourcing from suppliers, over the past five years, we have begun to develop our own proprietary ingredients, giving our Perfumers an additional creative edge. Presented under Eurofragance Selections, our choice of ingredients reflects the care we put into composing and developing the best possible palette for our creation teams.

ICON is Eurofragance’s curated selection of distinctive and highest-quality ingredients in our palette defined by our Master Perfumers. We create with a purpose, elevating creativity with every ICON note to make your products stand out. The acronym ICON stands for Innovation, Commitment, Origin and Nature. The ICON platform presents our prized ingredients in three distinct collections: Naturals, Captives and Headspace. It is also our aim to offer you ingredients that have a positive sustainability record in terms of their origin and their production process.
In 2018, we kicked-off our very own ingredient program. The team of Scientists and Perfumers was tasked with developing, branding and launching captives, also known as proprietary perfumery ingredients. To date, we have introduced four captives of natural and synthetic nature. These exclusive ingredients enrich our palette and open new creative venues for our creation teams. Our captives program is a testament to our innovative mindset and our desire to stay ahead of our competitors.
