We only source from superior suppliers
Most of what we acquire from 300 suppliers or raw materials that will come embellish our palette of 1,200 ingredients that represent the foundation of fragrance creation. Our Purchasing team travels the world to meet with suppliers and producers who are able to offer us the highest quality natural and synthetic materials that our Perfumers are eager to blend into their fragrance formulas. Aside from perfumery raw materials, we also work with suppliers of other services and goods such as packaging, which is essential for shipping purposes. To guarantee our operations run smoothly, we have put in place, with all of our suppliers, measures to ensure the on-time procurement of materials we need to operate.

Responsible sourcing
We like to work with like-minded partners; and, as sustainability is so important to us, we ask all of our supplying partners to sign our Supplier Code of Ethics and Responsible Sourcing Policy. Thankfully, many of our suppliers share our philosophy and have adhered to this request. As we like to see firsthand what sustainability measures have been put in place by our suppliers, when possible, we visit them in person. In most cases, we come away highly impressed with their positive actions. Such visits are also an opportunity to better understand the raw materials they supply us with, and if their sustainability track record can be improved.

Superb raw materials to create superb scents
To produce outstanding fragrances, we only source ingredients that match or exceed our customers’ expectations for highest quality standards. When perfumery ingredients arrive at any one of our production plants, the experts of our Quality Control team are the first to stick their nose in the shipment. They analyze batches of incoming materials against internally approved benchmarks and strict specifications of conformity. Ultimately, the raw materials we acquire must imperatively meet the requirements of our creative teams—a crowd with high expectations! It is certainly less exciting, but Quality Control must also ensure that all the paperwork submitted by the supplier is in order.

Technical perfumes, the guardians of our palette
One of the responsibilities of Technical Perfumers at Eurofragance is to be the guardians of our palette. They know in detail every ingredient we purchase from suppliers, and thanks to well established relationships built over the years with suppliers, they can quickly get answers or solve potential issues with great efficiency if the need arises. Direct contact between suppliers and Technical Perfumers also helps to mitigate the purely transactional aspect of the relationship and to focus on the quality of the product. For instance, to further develop our fragrance palette, the Technical Perfumer can work directly with the supplying producer to fine-tune an extraction method to slightly alter the olfactive profile of a raw material to our Perfumers’ wishes.
