(Barcelona and Dubai, October 26, 2023) Eurofragance, the Spanish fragrance house, will be present at BeautyWorld Middle East (BWME) in Dubai between October 30th and November 1st.  BWME is the largest fair in the region dedicated to the beauty care and fragrance industry, and welcomes 1,700 exhibitors, including Eurofragance for the 13th time.

The theme chosen by Eurofragance for this year’s event is Escential Escape, reflecting consumers’ desire to escape the routine and reality of their present day lives.  The notion of escape is developed around five different mega trends that have been identified as significant in today’s perfumery industry by TrendScenteur®, Eurofragance’s prospective marketing tool.  Specifically, for BWME 2023 Perfumers were invited to create fragrances inspired by each trend.

A need to escape reality

Eurofragance selected theme, Escential Escape, is driven by the uncertain times we live in and which can even challenge our emotional wellbeing.  Escential Escape is an invitation to experience the extraordinary, to enter parallel universes and experience the transcendental.  Chiara Micol Buongiorno, Global Fine Fragrance Marketing Manager at Eurofragance Dubai, says: “For many of us, routine and boredom threaten to overtake our lives.  As a result, we crave to project ourselves in the discovery of new worlds.  Such escapes allow us to free our minds in order to rebound.  This is the idea of ‘Escential Escape’ and why we feel it’s relevant today.”

At this edition of BWME, at the Eurofragance stand, visitors will be able to journey through different “worlds” that they will be able to escape to.  Eurofragance admits that they wish to ignite the senses and feed the imagination of each visitor—and especially that of their customers.  Escential Escape is powered by TrendScenteur®, a proprietary Eurofragance marketing tool developed to uncover and experience relevant trends within their customers’ marketspace—fragranced products, ranging from fine perfumery to home and personal care via air care.

Eurofragance unveils its new prospective marketing tool: TrendScenteur®

As Eurofragance’s prospective marketing tool, TrendScenteur® is intended to identify the mega trends that the company believes define today’s lifestyle and which will impact the product development of tomorrow.  TrendScenteur® could be described as Eurofragance’s “escential compass.”  As such it will guide their Marketing teams in the design of new product concepts that can be presented to clients, along with the appropriate fragrance creation.

At BWME 2023, Eurofragance will present five mega trends.  They are: Togetherness, Dopamine Rush, Nature as a Goddess, Self-care and New Worlds.  These trends will occupy different spaces within the Eurofragance stand.  Each of these five trends has inspired the creation of a fine fragrance, developed by Eurofragance’s Perfumers.  Three additional fragrances, fueled by the five mega trends, will also be presented under the form of “lava stones” that could fit perfectly in a prestigious perfume or a high-end air care product; the stones just serve as a carrier for the olfactive creation.

Belén Garcia, Senior Perfumer at Eurofragance, has also been nominated as a finalist for the fair’s Perfumer of the Year award.  Results for this important side event will be made public during the BWME fair.

ICON ingredients in each fragrance creation

At last year’s BWME fair, Eurofragance was just beginning to roll out its ICON program, a new strategy for an improved and sustainable palette of perfumery ingredients.  In line with this introduction, the Spanish fragrance house had presented six of its favorite ICON ingredients.  The ICON program has since gained momentum, and at this year’s BWME new ICON ingredients have been incorporated by the Perfumers in their compositions.  Guests and customers will be able to enjoy these different ICON ingredients and learn more about them in the fragrances they will smell at the Eurofragance exhibit space.
