Understanding Both the Science and the Emotion of Fragrances

I always dreamt of becoming a Perfumer.  Since I was a kid, I have been interested in how people communicate through fragrances, along with the relationships and habits we develop between our own personal culture and everyday products.  My first approach into this world of scents was to study Chemistry in order to better grasp what things are made of, how nature is composed or how one can artificially synthesize compounds.  I then looked to deepen my understanding of cosmetics, trends, formulations and the huge impact of perfumery in these different areas.

At Eurofragance, I had the incredible chance to discover the real world of perfumery.  I feel lucky to have been part of the Perfumery Academy and for its mentors who challenged me to improve my knowledge and expand my creativity.

As a Technical Perfumer, I can bring together my scientific background and my passion for fragrances.  I see firsthand how raw materials perform together, how they evolve over time and how to overcome the current regulatory challenges to produce fragrances that are safe and environmentally friendly.

I also feel that it is important to understand the power that scents and smells have on our memories and senses; the mental connections and feelings that scents have on different cultures around the world.  Just like other art forms, perfume provides us with a powerful tool to express ourselves and find happiness, joy or fulfillment.
